If you've read any of my reviews before, you already know that I'm not a big fan of the simulated d-pad or joystick. So from the start, there are already elements working against this application. All that aside, let's start fresh. Yes, you can play the full Mega Man II game in this application, and there is even a lite version that lets you play one level. The idea of this is very cool because Mega Man is classic. Unfortunately, I was never a huge fan of the NES Mega Man games, so my review may not apply to the die hard Mega Men. If you are to play this game though, I can at least offer some helpful hints to help you get the most out of the experience. For starters, do yourself a favor and go to the options menu, turn classic off and force landscape on. If you play a round with the "joystick," you'll know why I'm suggesting this. Mega Man II was already frustrating to me as a console game, because I never liked holding in the jump button to get the most out of your jump. I'm a double jump button kind of guy. So when you combine the frustration the natural game controls combined with the crappy d-pad and buttons that you can't actually feel under your finger, this game quickly becomes not worth the frustration. Oh wait, lets also throw in the fact the the game just flat out runs slow and clunky. I would try out the light version, but the $4.99 price tag is a little much for a game that you can get for free all over the internet in rom form, where it will be a thousand times more enjoyable.
